Chiropractor
Dr. Josee has always been passionate about both chiropractic and animals, and it was only natural that she combine those two loves to become a Certified Animal Chiropractor. And thus began an 8 ½ -year education journey. Dr. Josee completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. She then graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota, in 2001 with a Doctorate in Chiropractic. In 2005, she obtained her Certification in Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy (aka Animal Chiropractic) from The Healing Oasis Wellness Center in Sturtevant, WI. In 2018, she became the 2 nd Animal Chiropractor in all of Canada to be trained in Advanced Craniosacral Therapy for small animals. After operating several successful practices in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Alberta, Canada, Dr. Josee made the hard decision to retire in 2022, and move to southern Quebec to be closer to family. However, within a few months, Dr. Josee missed her life’s calling of helping animals, and decided to come out of retirement. She is now thrilled to be offering Animal Chiropractic for your pets at Newport Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Josee is passionate about educating clients and the community on the benefits of Animal Chiropractic Care. In her spare time, she enjoys golfing, hiking and spending time with her partner, and their two cats, Dani and Ruckus.
